Hi, my name is El.
I am a graphic designer based in Langley, BC, Canada, combining traditional arts and creative writing to create lively, engaging, and purposeful designs. To spot one of my designs look for vivid colours, expressive typography, and projects focused on socially good initiatives or businesses.
El tells you more below
It all started with printer paper
Finding my creative stride when I was young started with creating mini booklets that combined my two favourite things: writing and drawing.
From there, I developed my creativity in multiple practices such as drawing, painting, and photography. As much as this gave me a solid base of skills, I lacked an element of strategy in my work until an opportunity came from my high school yearbook team. There, I discovered my love of creating strategic and creative designs leading me to the Wilson School of Design at KPU University where I received my B.A. in design.
My creative drive comes from my personal goal of helping those overlooked with my design. I do this by working with local businesses and non-profits who have given me the invaluable tools to continue to grow as a designer.
Outside of Work
I collect CDs with unique designs, explore urban areas, and cook dishes that may or may not be safe to eat. I also still practice traditional art and creative writing when inspiration strikes, and deadlines are forgiving.
I am proud to be a member of the LGBTQ2+ community as a non-binary, queer creative and am more than happy to give insight concerning inclusivity with your work.
If nothing of the above interests you,
we can stick to talking about what I do best; design.
